Hello Again!
It's good to be back! My last post was still in 2014! And there has been a lot of changes!
One of the things that happened during the span of time since then was thankfully I'm now again financially stable and growing too because I have successfully "revived" my IT career. It took a lot of studying, sweat, blood, tears and humility to get to this point. Those pains pointed me to where I should heal and focus.
I've had some rejections in the process of applying in jobs because I don't have a particular skill that they need or I have not answered a particular interview question.
"I had to encounter that pain, so that it would point me to where I should improve/heal"
The pain pushed me to learn. I studied whole day and night like a madman on the topics that I failed on the interviews. I hustled, found study resources. Until one by one, I passed the most recent interviews that I attended. There came a point where I had to contemplate on what to pick on the 3 job positions that I passed.
It is the same with our bodies, our health. Because of some meditation practices that I've done and experienced, I have a theory that when you put your attention to a body part whether external or internal, that body part heals or improves in its state eventually.
Don't believe what I say. Instead, I urge you to try it. Try to put your attention starting at your toes on your feet... then the soles... then the ankles... then up to your calves.. your knees.. the muscles and bones in between... the nerves.. your legs and thighs... then up to your hips... your buttocks... your genital area.. have a deep inhale in your nose... then exhale out of your mouth... repeat this SLOWLY while doing the feeling of your body...
Continue putting your attention on your stomach.. your fats.. your lower back.. feel the expansion and contraction of your rib area as you breathe.. feel your heartbeat... feel your inner organs... feel your lungs as you take in air and out... feel your upper back.. your shoulders.. feel your spine... do this SLOWLY while having deep breaths...
You start to feel relaxed... You might be also experiencing some tingling on parts of your body... I think that part is responding to the healing...
Continue putting your attention to your arms.. the muscles... the elbows... wrists.. and your hands.. feel their warmth and throbbing of the veins... go upper.. to your neck.. your jaw... your lips... every part of your face... then to your eyes.. to the nerves in the eye socket... to your head.. to the insides of the brain...
Repeat this as desired.. this can relax your whole body and mind... you can also do this with your eyes closed... enjoy the process..
Because of this, I was thinking that when we get injured or wounded in a particular part of the body, there is pain in that part. The body is giving you a message to put your attention to the pain, because that is the part that needs to heal.
"Attention heals, what you feel, you heal."
And i think it is also the same in the emotional side of things.. give attention to yourself, you need to heal as well. :-)
Until next time,
Carlo
